The Cecilian Singers under the direction of their current Music Director Jeremy Jackman are looking forward to their return visit to Southwell Minster. And to make it an even more memorable occasion, they will join forces again with saraBande, a chamber orchestra conducted by Dr. Peter Siepmann based in Nottingham. They will be performing music by three of the worlds finest and best-loved composers. Mozart's motet Misericordias Domini is a classic of its kind, and Handel's pulsating psalm Dixit Dominus will leave you (and us) breathless! A tour de force by any standards.

One of this country's finest viola players, Carmen Flores will join the party, and take the lead in Telemann's Viola Concerto giving Southwell a rare opportunity to hear this work. Carmen is a member of the Villiers String Quartet and is the Principal Viola with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, the orchestra of the Birmingham Royal Ballet.

The programme will also include a mixed programme of choral favourites.

Remember to mark 14th April 2018 in your diaries and we would love to see you at our concert.
